In 2014, KAUNAS PHOTO festival starts its eleventh edition. Since 2004, the festival has brought together and connected hundreds and thousands of members of international photographic community.

KAUNAS PHOTO festival, member of Festival of Light network and Photo Festival Union organisations, has been developing its profile as the stage of emerging photographers and a place of photographic discoveries.

The new logo of KAUNAS PHOTO hints that the 2014^th version, we are a festival that is worth visiting. The spring part of the festival invited to the exhibition “Museum 24/7” that brings insights about the facades and back-stages of museums of Europe and USA.

The interlude to the main program that will start on July 30 with the exhibition of KAUNAS PHOTO STAR 2013 portfolio competition winner Andrejs Strokins (Latvia) at the KAUNAS PHOTOGRAPHY GALLERY, while the core program will reconnect the international image community in Kaunas in the first and second weeks of September, disclosing KAUNAS PHOTO as a place of photographic encounters.

The main program will feature a line-up of exhibitions by 1974-born European photographers a contemporary Swiss photography exhibition and more. Visits to traditional and non-conventional exhibitions, Photo Nights, KAUNAS PHOTO STAR 2014 portfolio reviews, talks, formal and informal meetings in the decor of central and historic parts of Kaunas will happen for the 11th time.  I hope that KAUNAS PHOTO 2014 will be an ideal environment to enjoy photography, meet old friends and make new ones. We wanted to make KAUNAS PHOTO a festival worth a visit…
